SnagPal showing a snag list for a new-build property, with defects organised by room and a one-tap export to a branded PDF report.
The basics
Snagging is the process of finding and recording the small faults in a property so they can be put right. A snag is any defect or unfinished bit of work: a chipped worktop, a door that catches, a gap in the sealant, paint runs on the skirting. The list you build up as you go is called a snag list (or a punch list on a construction site).
It matters most on a new-build home. After you complete, you usually have a window to report defects to the developer so they fix them under warranty. The cleaner and clearer your snag list, the harder it is to dismiss and the quicker things get sorted. That means a photo of each issue, a note of where it is, and ideally a pin on the floor plan.
SnagPal is built to make that quick. You walk the property, photograph each defect, annotate it, tag the room and pin it on the floor plan, then export the whole lot as a tidy PDF to send to the developer, client or contractor. New guide to it all in our snagging guides.

How it works
The same workflow whether you are snagging your own new home or running a handover for a whole development.
Walk the property
Go room by room with your iPhone or iPad. No signal needed, so the basement and the new estate with no reception are no problem.
Capture and annotate each snag
Photograph the defect, mark it up with arrows and circles, give it a title and tag the room. Under 10 seconds per snag once you get going.
Pin it on the floor plan
Drop a pin on a photo of the floor plan so whoever fixes it can see exactly where each defect is, not just a vague description.
Export a branded PDF
One tap turns the whole list into a professional PDF with your logo, the client details and every photo, grouped by room or assignee.
Send it on
Share the report with the developer, client or contractor straight from your device. Keep the original on the phone as your record.
No account, no subscription, no cloud. Download SnagPal and snag your first room today.
